I walked back and forth along the shore of Chapel Pond to find the perfect view through the trees. After several passes I found the exact scene to provide balance within the foreground and take you to white birch clinging to the cliff face behind. Unfortunately, this scene no longer exists, having been destroyed in an enormous ice storm that devastated the East Coast in 1998.
