This tranquil scene by the ocean took almost an hour waiting for calm, all the while being eaten alive by swarms of sand flies. I had hundreds of bites and had to wave the clouds away from the camera lense before I could take this picture. The photograph is a study of two intersecting arcs; one from the water leading to the cliffs behind on the left and the other starting from the flax crossing to the pampas grass and bushes on the right. |
