After a full day hiking the famous Tongoriro Crossing to the Emerald Pools and returning, I passed this scene with the beautiful tussock grasses and moss. Looking further, I noticed the scree fields beyond and the divided slabs of black rock and grass slopes. With time and some work I found this delicate composition creating depth and color spaces with the lion-head rock surverying the result.
